THE DESERT
desertpic

The Sinai desert is beautiful, to say the least. Although it is the smallest of Egypt's three deserts, it is blessed with an astonishing variety of landscapes and terrain such as granite mountains, sandstone, dunes, canyons, unique flora and fauna, medicinal plants, oases, rock formations and lunar sceneries. It's visual beauty is only one of the many features that make the desert such an exceptional form of nature. Its beauty also lies in its silence, fragrances, freedom and isolation from electricity, artificial lights, noise pollution etc...It is the perfect place to relax or meditate, as elegantly stated by the sufi poet Rumi: 'The desert has a strong relationship with spiritual quests. The desert itself invokes images of a vast expanse, where man may be alone to commune with the higher power and forces of nature'. Another of the desert 's blessings are its Bedouin inhabitants. They are genuinely hospitable people who have lived in symbiosis with the desert and made it their home. Growing up in the desert has given them a great understanding of nature. The common reason to go to the desert is to go on various treks, whilst sampling excellent Bedouin cuisine and camping under the stars. But the desert is the ideal location for many things, which is why our safaris can be tailor-made to meet your requests.
